I am so happy with my water rowing machine. It is very beautiful and a luxury rower , high quality and a pleasure to use as the water sound is so relaxing. An amazing price I really got a fantastic bargain and the best rower I have ever used, better than Concept 2.
I use my rower everyday and am seeing great results. It is the best thing that I have ever done for myself to purchase this rower. I have other exercise machines at home a Star trac spin bike, cross trainer, gazelle freestyle, total gym and Instant abs machine but the Topiom water rower is the highest quality and best machine to get results fast.
Dont miss out and purchase this rower.
I was looking for a rower like this for a very long time but it was out of my reach as too expensive with other companies but not with Topiom who have made my wishes and dreams come true. Thank you so much Topiom I am very grateful. God bless you all.
Haven't used it much yet, but so far I am very happy with the product.
The unit is a joy to use, very smooth and robust. It is aesthetically pleasing and the wife and I are using it daily . We are already up to our target of 30 minutes twice a day each and are really motivated. Only a week in but love it. Highly recommended to any home users. I am well over 100 kilos and it takes my weight effortlessly.
Also usingnit for triceps and other resistance exercises.
Love it

I'm very new to rowing and wasn't sure which one to get but once this arrived, I was converted into a daily rower. I chose the walnut colour and it looks great, it's easy to build and took around 30 minutes to put together. Once built the rower has a solid feel and can be stored upright.
It came with a water pump which made it very simple to add and remove water.
Thank you to Alice and Nicole for organising the delivery and support provided

Suggestions for helpful instructions:
Step 1 - start charging the pump! (to avoid impatience after construction)
Mark the foot plate with a front' and back' sticker, as I initially installed it back to front.
Mention that the display requires 4 x AA batteries.
No info remarks about calibration? I have added water to 16 mark, but not sure what is appropriate...
I used to row a lot as a youngster, and this feels like the real thing.
Well pleased.
I used to own a WaterRower so can confirm that the Topiom is identical with both it's fluid rowing action and the quality of wood. The difference between the two is simply the console. The Topiom rower lacks a 500m split time which is on the WaterRower model, this is due to the Topiom not being a true Ergometer. WaterRowers can guage distance in 1 meter, 2m, 3m increments etc whereas the Topiom measures in 6m X increments only. As such, a light stroke on a Topiom is equivalent to a heavy stroke (6m) so not ideal if you're after accurate performance metrics. In contrast, the WaterRower will measure these accurately. If you can live without this then the Topiom is still far better value, luckily my rowing (on water) days are over.
Connectivity wise, I've been able to connect to both their FitShow App which is very basic but does log workouts through my iPhone XR. I've also been able to connect to KinoMap and followed a couple of workouts that way. Please note; when you connect to a bluetooth device/app then this renders the console as blank and can't register any data.
Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the Topiom Rower. For what it lacks on the console it more than makes up for it with the fluid motion of the rower. Excellent value and good customer service as I asked several questions from the suppliers before ordering.
Looks great to.
The customer service received from Topiom has been first class. Alice in particular providing quick and friendly responses to any queries. I purchased the rower. Ive not been using it for very long but so far its great. A well built bit of kit that is nice to use. If youre looking for a rower I recommend that you give Topiom a try.

A very good machine, very quite when using it. I Like that I can stand it upright when not in use.
The best feature this machine has for me is the twin rails the seat travels along giving extra support, it makes the transition on to it from my wheelchair and back again after my work out is over a lot easier and safer.
Yes I put this machine together myself, it did take a couple of hours but you might expect that. So If I can do it then it cannot be very difficult. The whole thing looks great and a joy to use. . . . James

I am not sure if its because I havent rowed since the Coronavirus started or this machine offers more resistance than the ones at the gym, but I love how it makes me really work for each km. The machine is not noisy, so I can row early in the morning, or late at night when the kids are asleep.
It was easy to set up and its easy to lift it and store in a corner if needed.
I also need to mention the handlebars. The usual rowing machine like Concept 2 for example, has round bars. Topioms handle is ergonomic, it doesnt hurt the palms of my hands, and if you row every day, this little thing is important.
I would recommend this machine to anyone interested in a complete workout.
Oh, and the customer service is absolutely brilliant!

Build quality of rower is spot on. Any fittings holes are perfectly lined up.
Machine took about 1/2 hour to build and looks really good.
Using rower is really good experience, drive is smooth and strong, return is natural.
After years of using a concept 2 in gyms, I wasnt sure how a water rower would fair and if it would be tough enough. Its come tops on all accounts and I doubt whether I would ever go near a concept 2 rower again.
I did lots of research in different rowers/companies and really glad i chose Topiom.
The most obvious issues are where ends of wood have been covered with what looks like cheap paper wood-effect stickers. I understand some sort of vinyl or plastic is usually used to cover wood-ends, but a friend uses another brand and his is much higher quality and doesn't look like i put a bit of brown tape over some places. (The most obvious being right above the handles, in eye sight ever time I use it.
Secondly, there are some scuffs and marks in different places, which I guess occured some time between them making and delivering, but the box was well packaged so it must have happened beforte leaving the warehouse.
Overall, a great machine but the final finish is a let down.
Okay, here are t...More
Okay, here are the minor things:
The boxes were damaged (ripped in places and holey in others), and the styrofoam was broken in multiple places; but the contents were okay when I unpackaged them, so the packaging did its job.
What was less-okay was that the clear water drum had scratches and other imperfections that made it look used. Probably the only real "solution" is to sandpaper the drum to give the whole thing a very even scratching. We'll see if I actually do that.
Besides that, though, what was weird, was that many of the pieces in the big box were covered in some kind of chalk. It took some effort to wipe it all off; but I would have preferred to have not had to do that, especially with how hard it was to remove the chalk between the drum and the wood (it's tight there!).
There's a wee little piece of black plastic scrap inside the drum that will probably annoy my OCD to no end; but it won't impact performance.
The felt sticker that lies between the water drum and the long boards is not actually centered under the drum, so parts of the drum are not felted against the wood, and lots of the felt sticks out uselessly away from the drum. The felt isn't something you can peel off and reapply, so you just have to hope they get yours positioned right. Thankfully, I don't think this misalignment will have any real implications for me, other than annoying my OCD.
One of the long boards has a sizeable blotch in its staining.
I can't complain too much, though. For a Chinese product, this is (for the most part) not plagued by chabuduo. And the [detailed] instructions are even in proper English! I assume both of these are due to it being a Hong Kong company, rather than a mainland one.
The most important thing, of course, is that I didn't have to fork over over a thousand dollars for a brand-name water-rower. Thanks, China!
Hearing the soothing swish of water as I row is really therapeutic, and definitely a plus for anyone who doesnt want something loud and obnoxious to hear. Ive used a Concept2 and find the loud noise it makes to be off-putting and less organic. I love the purist aspect of working with solid wood and water rather than using something constructed of plastic and metal to exercise with every day.
The monitor seems pretty accurate with spm, distance, and pace although I use an Apple Watch and rowing app on my phone to track spm, calorie burn and heart rate. I also really love that you can store it upright, so its great for people who dont have a dedicated room just for exercise equipment (mine is in a room that doubles as a yoga and office space for example).
This is my first rower, and have no doubts it will last! It looks almost identical to the brand name WaterRower that costs upwards of $1,300.00. Definitely worth every penny!
My only criticism is that it didn't include the purification tablets. Not sure what kind I need. I am sure they will be inexpensive. That criticism is all I could come up with.
This is a great rower for an amazing price.
I will say for those ordering this through Amazon and not directly through Topiom or some other 3rd party: this does ship in two separate boxes (this is mentioned in the product description), but Amazon only sends the tracking information for whatever package ships first. I didn't get any notification about the second package. I contacted Topiom directly about this and they were able to send me the second tracking number within 12 hours. The two packages arrived only a day apart from each other.
Additionally there is one negative to this rower's design. The water intake is located directly underneath the wood structure where the handle pulls over. Filling the water tank was needlessly annoying with the provided battery pump (ALSO, as other reviews have mentioned, make sure to plug in the water pump and charge it right at the beginning before you begin assembling - it takes about a half hour or more to charge). I would recommend getting a funnel you can attach a water tube to and just pour water into the funnel to fill. It takes exactly four gallons to fill to the recommended water level, by the way.
Overall, this is an early review written after assembly and one 30 minute workout. But my impression of this machine is very positive - assembly is incredibly easy (can be done yourself no problem, but even easier with a helper), customer service was very responsive to my question, and the first workout was great. Highly, highly recommended!

First thing out of the box!! Don't forget to plug in the re-chargeable pump. It took over an hour to fully charge and I am pretty sure you will come in at about a half hour for the build. I did and then had to wait for the pump...
I watched and you should watch the female instructor on U tube. She was help full, but missed a few things. Like the pump.
It's important as you build to put the parts on the packaging Styrofoam as per the instructions so as to not damage the parts.
The water filler hole, for the water tank, is located in the wooden beam over/on top of the tank. There is a black stopper supplied to put in that hole after you add water to the level line.
The fill level label is a little hard to see on the side of the tank. Be accurate with your fill and don't exceed the recommended level of water. The pump doesn't look it, but it fills pretty fast. Shake the water out of the pump and put it in a safe place. You need to add a purifier tablet to the water or it will get cloudy faster. Email Topiom. Either way, every few months I am betting the water gets cloudy and you have to pump out the water and replace it, so keep the pump in a place you will remember. Be careful to use a recommended purifier to avoid damaging the tank and possibly the warranty.
When attaching the top screws for the foot rests don't forget to put the supplied round black plastic pieces on the top screws, this will hold the rowing handle. Open side down. If you don't put the black pieces in, the screws won't screw to the bottom.
If you want to take the seat off, once it is on. You push it to one side and lift that side.
Put batteries in the computer and push the button on the bottom right. If you want to use your phone, push the blue tooth button upper left on the computer. I can see my phone better and they were considerate enough to put a little ledge for phone to sit, maybe tablet. Down load "FitShow." Pick "indoor" and you will see your machine, if you had hit the Blue tooth button. If you get an error message when starting; just hit "continue." It will record your workout. Start rowing.
I am having to start slow. If I start too hard I know I will have muscles that aren't worked for this exercise. And if I don't start slow they will get hurt and I won't be able to row for a week or so till they heal. Then I will have to start slow, again. So I start slow.
I did two minutes three times a day the first two days. tomorrow four minutes. Maybe twice a day. We all have our pace, but start easy. Wait a few weeks to start killing it:-)
Silky smooth ride. I love the sound and feel of the water resisting the paddles. I love the increase in resistance that the water gives as you pull harder. I bet magnets and stuff don't give you this feel. I am looking for a good whole body burn. I want a machine that can give me a consistent challenge into the future. Judging by the dynamics of water that cause it to increase resistance the harder it is pushed, this challenge should be met.
Starting out a few minutes at a time. But when longer I will watch a movie or do mindful meditation. Which is keeping my mind on what I am doing with little or no thought, mindfull meditation really makes time go fast.
I did a week or so of searching on the internet to find a good workout machine. Rowers seem to offer the safest workout for my joints. Topiom is selling their machine for about a third the price of a few others selling very, very similar rowers. I mentioned this to one of the seller's and he had no comment.
Nobody else loves and trusts their machine to the level of giving it to you for three weeks for a dollar or any price, as does Topiom. I am using the 21 day free trial because I am never ever happy with the cheaper model. So far it looks like this rower is better than many of the much more expensive models. Take a look and see for yourself.
Many of the more expensive machines need to sit in a gym due to size and Topiom tilts up in a square foot or so and looks good.
They said about two weeks to ship and it got here in about six days.
I don't like corporations. They care about profits not people. They don't love us. If you look at how well this rower is built and thought out, speedy delivery, quality, price... My bet is this is a small company that loves their product and the thought of us loving it.
Hope I don't go to far. But I have a passion for my workout. Whatever it is. Now it's rowing. Something easy to have a passion for. I am 68 and running out of workouts that don't hurt me.
Happy rowing.
